Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope you had a great 2014 and are looking forward to an even better 2015.
Some notes to wrap 2014:
DataLog Release Candidate
A new release candidate version of DataLog is ready for final testing. This version has passed all of our internal testing. However, due to the large number of internal changes we want to start by upgrading a limited number of users. If you are interested in being one of the first to update please e-mail support@uaar.net and we will provide you with the download link. This release contains a number of small fixes and performance enhancements. The major changes are related to changing our internal tools. This version lays the groundwork for future enhancements.
Welcome to Scott Stephenson
AgWare’s newest employee started December 1st. His name is Scott Stephenson and he joins our team from his home office in Connecticut. Scott brings 20+ years of experience as a commercial software engineer, including more than a decade in an industry-leading Fortune 50 corporation. Scott will be working on AgWare’s Farm Management Accounting Program. However, we already have some shared code between the Appraisal and Management software and we expect that to increase. With the addition of Scott we now have an employee in every time zone. Welcome on board Scott!
AgWare Training Opportunities
Over the past few months we have had a number of requests for a “Back to the Basics” training. The idea is to have a 7 hour course that reviews the basics of our software. The course is split between DataLog and ClickFORMS with a focus on how automatic calculations flow through the software from the sales analysis all the way to the approaches. Since we will use new features of the software as we complete the case study, we expect the course to be useful for new and experienced users alike.
Our first location is set for March 3rd at the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. This will be held during the Missouri ASFMRA State Chapter meeting. Registration details are still being finalized. If you want to be notified when registration is open please e-mail support@uaar.net. We will also conduct this training in San Antonio in conjunction with the ASFMRA National Meeting. Are you part of a state chapter or company that would be interesting in this type of training? If so contact us at support@uaar.net. We would love to offer the course at a few different locations across the country.
Enterprise Users – Automatically GeoCode Existing Sales
If you are an Enterprise user and you have entered Section/Township/Range on your old sales, we can update your database and automatically set longitude and latitude for those sales. We now have a script that can be run against your enterprise Database to set the location based on the input Section/Township/Range. If you would like this process run on your database please have your administrator contact us. At this time the process will only work for Enterprise users. Standard and Small Business users – if you would like to see this process as well please let us know and we will consider it for a future release.
