4. How Do I Move UAAR to a New Computer?

Install the UAAR program on your new computer using a CD you already have or from AgWare’s website at www.uaar.net. In order to successfully complete the installation, you must obtain the Serial Number, Registration Number, and Unlocking Number from the Registration screen of your current software program.

To obtain these numbers, run your UAAR program. Once it is open, Click on Help > Registration > Registration tab. There are four sets of numbers that you need to copy for a successful installation to a new computer. Make sure that you write these numbers down and keep track of them for future use. (The Registration Number is the third blank that does not have a title description over the top of the cell; i.e. Registration Number for Jerald E. Kjerstad, ARA is 6197595.)

Click on the My Documents icon on your desktop and then click on the folder called “My UAAR”. On the menu bar at the top, click Edit > Select All, then click Edit > Copy. There should be 9 folders that you are copying. Paste the copied files from the “My UAAR” folder to an external media of choice (such as a USB Drive, CD, or Network Drive).

Once the files have been pasted into the appropriate location, double click on the software to run the program. The first thing you should do is click on Help > Registration and then click on the Registration tab. Enter your name exactly as you previously did and then enter the three sets of numbers that you wrote down at the beginning of the installation.

USB Drive:

1. Insert the USB drive into the appropriate USB port to your computer. Click on My Computer and then click on the drive corresponding to the USB Drive.
2. After completing step 4 from above, open the USB Drive, click on Edit > Paste. The files from the folder “My UAAR” should now be on the USB Drive.
3. To move this information to a new computer, insert the USB drive into the new computer’s USB port and open the drive the same way as noted above.
4. Find the files you copied onto the USB drive, Click on Edit > Select All and then click on Edit > Copy.
5. Open the My Documents file on the new computer and then open the My UAAR folder.
6. Click on Edit > Paste and the files should all be transferred to your new computer in the My UAAR folder.

CD Burner:

1. Copy the files to the CD using the appropriate programs for your computer. After the files are copied to the CD, continue with the same instructions under the USB Drive instructions, starting with Step 3.

Network Drive:

1. If you have a network set up, you can transfer files from one computer to another or use a shared network drive. If you do not have a network set up, it is probably easiest to use a CD or USB drive to transfer files.
