If you do not want to change the sale index number – those sales with indexes already will maintain those values and a historic database number will appear on the converted sales that contains the 2005 database number. A new database number will be created, but you will be able to see the old database number.
If you want to edit your sale indexes before you convert, the following is what you should do.
Go to My Documents > My UAAR > Databases > double click on the database you want to open. Then double click on the access file.

Access will open and there should be a query called “qryMainFull” that you can select. Double click on this file.

Once opened, you should see a sales grid similar to the image below. You can now edit sales and then save the database.

Once you have made your changes to the 2005 version of the database, you can then go through the 2006 conversion process. Those guidelines are found on the UAAR 2006 Release Notes - Converting to 2006 from 2005.
