Transferring sales from the Enterprise DataLog is a very simple process. We will cover how to transfer a sale or multiple sales from the datalog into a ClickFORMS report, into an email message using Microsoft Outlook, out of an email message into a datalog, and into an empty document folder.
To transfer a sale(s) from the datalog into a ClickFORMS report, start by making sure that you have the datalog open and the report open that you wish to transfer the sale(s) to. Minimize both screens so that you can see them both at the same time.

Find the sale(s) that you want to transfer and select it so that it is highlighted in dark blue as shown above in the figure. If you wish to transfer more than one sale into your report, you can move more than one sale at a time.
To highlight five sales all in consecutive order, select the top sale, press the Shift key, and select the bottom sale. All five of the sales should be highlighted in dark blue.
If you want to highlight five sales that are not in order, select the first sale, press the Ctrl key, and continue to select the remaining four sales. They should all be highlighted in dark blue.

You have two options for transferring the sales – you can use the drag/drop option or the copy/paste option. Both are equally as simple. We will start with the drag/drop option.
To transfer sale(s) using the drag/drop option, make sure that both the datalog and the report are open and you can see both screens at the same time. Highlight the sale(s) that you wish to transfer and left click in the dark blue highlighted area. Continue to hold the left click and drag it to the forms manager of the report (the yellow box with the list of forms). Your mouse will change to look like a white arrow with two extra boxes below it – one with a plus (+) sign in it. If your mouse does not change to this once in the forms manager, try left clicking on the highlighted sections again. Once you let go of the left click, the sale(s) should be in the report at the very bottom of the forms manager as shown in the figure below. I transferred four sales; they show up in the forms manager as “UAAR Sales” and “Sales Page continued”. If you want to transfer the sales in one page sales sheets, you must use the copy/paste method. We will cover that next.

To transfer sale(s) using the copy/paste method, make sure that both the datalog and the report are open and you can see both screens at the same time. Highlight the sale(s) that you wish to transfer and click on the button “Transfer Sales” and select “Copy Sales to Clipboard”.

Now go to your report and click on the menu “Edit” and select “Paste Special”. A screen will come up asking if you want to paste the One Page Sales Form or the Two Page Sales Form – select the One Page Sales Form option (since we already have the Two Page Sales Form sheets in our report) and click on OK. You can use this same process to copy/paste the two page sales sheets.

I now have those same four sales in one page sales sheets at the very bottom of my report; they are called “Short Sale Form”.
If I wanted to move the one page sales sheets above the two page sales sheets, simply click on the sale you want to move and click on the yellow up arrow until it is in the desired location. If you wanted to move that sale to the very top of the report, right click on the sale and select “Move to Top”.

Another hint with sales sheets is that you can rename these sales sheets so that they are easier to tell apart. At the top right of the first sales sheet is a blank where you can enter the Sale #. Enter in a “1” and press the Enter key. The sale should now be renumbered to “Sale #1”. Now when referencing to this sale in your comparison approaches, you can just use a “1” for Sale #1, instead of “d” numbers or index numbers.

Emailing sales from your datalog is a very simple process using the drag/drop or copy/paste method. Make sure that your datalog is open and then open a new message from your email account – we will be using Microsoft Outlook for this process.
We will start with the drag and drop method. Make sure that you can see both the blank email message and the datalog. Enter in the recipient of the email and the subject. Then in the datalog, select the sales that you want to email – we will select four sales. Left click and hold on the dark blue highlighted sales and drag them to the body of the email message. The mouse should change to a white arrow with a dotted box below it. If the mouse does not change form, you need to try the drag/drop again. The four sales should attach to the email message as shown below.

The other way to pull sales into an email message is to use the copy/paste method. Make sure that you can see both the blank email message and the datalog. Enter in the recipient of the email and the subject. Then in the datalog, select the sales that you want to email – we will select four sales. Then click on the “Transfer Sales” button and select “Copy Sales to Clipboard”. Now go to your email message and right click in the body of the message and select “Paste”. The four sales we copied in the datalog should now be pasted into the email message and look like the figure above. Now click send!

To transfer sales from an email you received to your datalog is just two steps away. The figure below is the email message that we sent earlier to the recipient. The recipient is now ready to transfer these four sales into his/her datalog.

The first method we will cover to transfer the sales from your email message to a datalog is the drag/drop method. The first step is to right click on the first sale “me to you – 2005-12.uaar-sale” and select “Select All” – this will select all four sales.

Now go to your datalog and create a folder to put these four new sales in. We will call it “Test III”. Go back to your email message (your sales should still be highlighted) and left click on the highlighted sales and drag them to the body of the new folder. Your mouse should change to a white arrow with a dotted box below it in the sales grid of the folder “Test III”. If the mouse does not change form, you need to try the drag/drop again. All four sales should now be in that folder.
The second method we will cover to transfer the sales from your email message to a datalog is the copy/paste method. The first step is to right click on the first sale “me to you – 2005-12.uaar-sale” and select “Select All” – this will select all four sales. Now right click on the highlighted section and select “Copy”. Now go to your datalog and create a folder to put these four new sales in. We will call it “Test III”.

Click on the “Test III” folder, click on the “Transfer Sales” button, and select “Paste Sale”.

You can transfer sales from a datalog into a folder created on your computer just as easily as those processes mentioned above. If you want to move a particular sale(s) to a folder on your computer, simply create the folder where you want it. Then left click on the selected sales and drag them to the empty folder. Once the sales are in the folder, they should look like the figure below.
You can also transfer the sales to the folder using copy/paste. Select the sales you want to transfer, click on the “Transfer Sales” button, and select “Copy Sales to Clipboard”. Now go to the folder you created, right click in the empty space of the folder, and select “Paste”. The sales should now be in the folder and appear similar to the sales in the figure above.
