If you have sales DataLogs from your previous version of the program, you will need to convert the DataLogs before you can use them. To convert a UAAR 2005 DataLog to the UAAR 2006 version, run the UAAR 2006 DataLog.
The first thing you want to do once you are in the program is to create a new folder for the converted sales. Right click on “My Sales” and select “Create New Folder”. Name the folder whatever you would like it to be. Now you can proceed with the conversion process.
Along the left hand side of the screen, there should be a menu called
“Conversion Tools”. Click on that title to see the items under that menu –
select “Convert 2005 DataLog”.
A screen will come up that will first ask you to locate the old DataLog
that you are trying to convert – Datalog to Convert. Click on the button at
the far right of the white box that has three periods in it. A screen will
come up asking you to find the old DataLog that you want to convert. If you
are not sure where the DataLog is, a good starting place is the default
location. Go to My Documents > My UAAR > Databases > and select the name of
the DataLog you want to convert and then select Open.

The next blank you need to fill in is where you want to save the
converted DataLog – Destination Project. To find where you want to save the
new DataLog,
click on the button at the far right of the white box that has three periods
in it. A screen will come up that will have a chart of the sales folders you
currently have in your new DataLog. Click on the folder you want the
converted sales to go to – I have a folder called “Converted Sales” for this
example. Click on this folder and then click on OK.
Now that you have both destinations selected, click on “Start” and the process will begin. A status bar is visible beneath the destination boxes to let you know how long the process is taking. Some DataLogs will take longer depending on the number of sales in the DataLog.
Once the process is finished, a box will come up stating that “the datalog was successfully converted – click on OK and then go to the Converted Sales folder and see if all of the sales were put in the correct folder.
Your datalog is now converted to the UAAR 2006!
If you are operating the UAAR 2000 program, the first step is to convert your UAAR 2000 program to UAAR 2003. After you have converted to the UAAR 2003 version, you can then follow the conversion process to the UAAR 2006 version.
We've made it easy for you to convert your existing UAAR 2000 DataLogs. A DataLog Converter tool was created to automate the conversion process. The DataLog Converter is located under the program's UAAR > DataLog Converter menu.

The DataLog converter interface consists of two sections: Old DataLog File and New DataLog Directory. The Old DataLog File section is the location of the UAAR 2000 DataLog(s) that you want to convert to the new program. The New DataLog Directory section is where you want to save the new converted DataLog. Please note that the DataLog Converter will not change, move or delete your original DataLog. It will simply create a new DataLog (and save it to the destination that you specified) once the conversion process is complete. You can only convert one DataLog at a time.

To convert your existing UAAR 2000 DataLog(s), do the following: Run the Datalog Converter located under the UAAR > DataLog Converter menu. Select your Old DataLog File that you want to convert by clicking on the Locate button. Select the directory where you want to save the new DataLog by clicking on the New DataLog Dir Locate button and type in the new DataLog name. Then click on the Convert button.
1. Click on the UAAR > DataLog Converter menu.
2. From the Datalog Converter window:
a. Select the DataLog you would like to convert by clicking on the
Locate button.
