To install the program using AgWare’s website, go to www.uaar.net > Downloads (http://www.uaar.net/downloads/index.html). There will be two links that you need to download. The first link will be for the UAAR ClickFORMS 2006. Click on this link, click ‘Save’, and save it to your desktop. Once this has been saved, close out of the save window and minimize the internet window. The icon saved on your desktop should be called ‘UAAR ClickFORMS Setup v4.6.exe’. Double click on this icon on your desktop and click ‘Run’. It will take several minutes for this to download. You will be prompted for an unlocking code in order to use the program. Once it has finished, the new 2006 version of the ClickFORMS program will be ready to use. You can delete the EXE file from your desktop now that you have installed the program.
The second link you need to download is for the UAAR DataLog 2006. Click on this link, click ‘Save’, and save it to your desktop. Once this has been saved, close out of the window and close out of the internet window. The icon saved on your desktop should be called ‘UAAR DataLog Setup [1.3.4].exe’. Double click on this icon on your desktop and click ‘Run’. Click through the ‘Next’ buttons and make sure you check the box on the license agreement page that you agree to the information. Save the program to the default location that comes up, which should be under ‘C:\Program Files\AgWare\UAAR DataLog’. The name of the Start Menu group to add UAAR DataLog icons to should default to ‘AgWare’ for ‘All Users’. At the end of the process, a page will come up stating that the ‘UAAR DataLog (1.3.4) has been successfully installed’. Click on the ‘Finish’ button to exit the installation process. You will be prompted for an unlocking code in order to use the program. You should have a new icon on your desktop called ‘UAAR DataLog’ that looks the same as the installation EXE file you saved earlier. You can delete the EXE file now that you have installed the program. You are now ready to use the UAAR 2006 program.
If you have a DataLog(s) from your previous version of the program, you will have to convert it before the sales can be used. To convert a UAAR 2005 DataLog to the UAAR 2006 version, run the UAAR 2006 DataLog.
The first thing to do is create a new folder for the converted sales. Right click on ‘My Sales’, select ‘Create New Folder’, and name the folder.
Along the left hand side of the screen, there should be a menu called ‘Conversion Tools’. Click on that and then click on ‘Convert 2005 DataLog’.

A screen will come up that will first ask you to locate the old DataLog that you are trying to convert – Datalog to Convert. Click on the button at the far right of the white box that has three periods in it. A screen will come up asking you to find the old DataLog that you want to convert. If you are not sure where the DataLog is, a good starting place is the default location. Go to My Documents > My UAAR > Databases > and select the name of the DataLog you want to convert and then select Open.

The next blank you need to fill in is where you want to save the converted DataLog – Destination Project. To find where you want to save the new DataLog, click on the button at the far right of the white box that has three periods in it. A screen will come up that will have a chart of the sales folders you currently have in your new DataLog. Click on the folder you want the converted sales to go to – I have a folder called “Converted Sales” for this example. Click on this folder and then click on OK.
Now that you have both destinations selected, click on “Start” and the process will begin. A status bar is visible beneath the destination boxes to let you know how long the process is taking. Some DataLogs will take longer depending on the number of sales in the DataLog to be converted.
Once the process is finished, a box will come up stating that “the datalog was successfully converted" – click on OK and then go to the Converted Sales folder and see if all of the sales were put in the correct folder. If not, try the process again.
To transfer a sale(s) from the datalog into a ClickFORMS report, start by making sure that you have the datalog open and the report open that you wish to transfer the sale(s) to.
Minimize both screens so that you can see them both at the same time.

Find the sale(s) that you want to transfer and select it so that it is highlighted in dark blue, as shown in the figure above. If you wish to transfer more than one sale into your report, you can move more than one sale at a time.
To highlight five sales all in consecutive order, select the top sale, press the Shift key, and select the bottom sale. All five of the sales should be highlighted in dark blue.
If you want to highlight five sales that are not in order, select the first sale, press the Ctrl key, and continue to select the remaining four sales. They should all be highlighted in dark blue.
You have two options for transferring the sales – you can use the drag/drop option or the copy/paste option. Both are equally as simple. We will start with the drag/drop option.

To transfer sale(s) using the drag/drop option, make sure that both the DataLog and the report are open and you can see both screens at the same time. Highlight the sale(s) you wish to transfer and left click in the dark blue highlighted area. Continue to hold the left click and drag it to the forms manager of the report (the yellow box with the list of forms). Your mouse will change to look like a white arrow with two extra boxes below it – one with a plus (+) sign in it. If your mouse does not change to this once in the forms manager, try left clicking on the highlighted sections again.
Once you let go of the left click, the sale(s) should be in the report at the very bottom of the forms manager as shown in the figure below. I transferred four sales; they show up in the forms manager as “UAAR Sales” and “Sales Page continued”. If you want to transfer the sales in as one page sales sheets, you must use the copy/paste method.

To transfer sale(s) using the copy/paste method, make sure that both the datalog and the report are open and you can see both screens at the same time. Highlight the sale(s) that you wish to transfer and click on the button “Transfer Sales” and select “Copy Sales to Clipboard”.
Now go to your report and click on the menu “Edit” and select “Paste Special”. A screen will come up asking if you want to paste the One Page Sales Form or the Two Page Sales Form – select the One Page Sales Form option (since we already have the Two Page Sales Form sheets in our report) and click on OK. You can use this same process to copy/paste the two page sales sheets.
Emailing sales from your datalog is a very simple process using the drag/drop or copy/paste method. Make sure that your datalog is open and then open a new message from your email account – we will be using Microsoft Outlook for this process.
We will start with the drag and drop method. Make sure that you can see both the blank email message and the datalog. Enter in the recipient of the email and the subject. Then in the datalog, select the sales that you want to email – we will select four sales. Left click and hold on the dark blue highlighted sales and drag them to the body of the email message. The mouse should change to a white arrow with a dotted box below it. If the mouse does not change form, you need to try the drag/drop again. The four sales should attach to the email message as shown below.

The other way to pull sales into an email message is to use the copy/paste method. Make sure that you can see both the blank email message and the datalog. Enter in the recipient of the email and the subject. Then in the datalog, select the sales that you want to email – we will select four sales. Then click on the “Transfer Sales” button and select “Copy Sales to Clipboard”. Now go to your email message and right click in the body of the message and select “Paste”. The four sales we copied in the datalog should now be pasted into the email message and look like the figure above.
Now click Send!
Use the same methods outlined above to transfer the sales from an email message to your DataLog.
While creating a new sale or editing an old sale, you may find that some of the fields have a lock on the cell that prevents you from entering a value. The lock on the field means that it is a calculated field and you should not have to manually enter a value. If you want to enter a value different from what is there, you can left click on the lock and it will “unlock”, allowing you to enter a value. To lock the cell again, simply left click on the lock.

LOCKED (text is normal and the lock is grey)

UNLOCKED (text is red and italic and the lock is yellow)
Calculating depreciation is a little different now than it was in the 2005 version. Originally, you entered the Age and Remaining Life values and the Physical Depreciation value automatically calculated. In the 2006 version, you must enter the Total Life value and the % Physical (Depreciation) value and the Effective Age and Remaining Life will adjust accordingly. You can see that the Effective Age and Remaining Life cells are locked because they are automatically filled.

A QUICK HINT: If you want the Functional and External Depreciation percentages to automatically adjust the Effective Age and Remaining Life, go to the menu Edit > Configuration > Math Settings and check all three boxes and then click on “OK”.
